As an organization focused on supporting the overall economic health of the Westchester community, The Business Council of Westchester strongly believes that the Starwood Capital Group-United Hospital Redevelopment Project represents a tremendous opportunity to increase economic development for both the Village and the County.

Dynamic mixed-use developments like the one Starwood has proposed are incredible economic engines. I understand the critical role a project like this can play in driving growth, having seen firsthand the positive impact similar development initiatives have had in communities throughout Westchester County. That is why The Business Council of Westchester has advocated for municipalities to encourage and facilitate such development and why I urge the Mayor and Board of Trustees to advance Starwood’s proposed plan.
